Whats a personality?

Introduction
The report highlights the concept of personality in a broad perspective by explaining persecutions on personality along with personality assessment.
Every individual has his or her own behavior that enables the individual doing work. There is no proper justification that we can ensure uniformity in observing attitude and behavior. Personality of a person varies from others. Similarly, performance of employees may differ in organizations.
What is Personality?

It is the particular combination of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral response patterns of an individual. Different personality theorists present their own definitions of the word based on their theoretical positions (Angler,
B. 2009)

Personality Theories
Personality theories try to measure your preferred method of reacting to the world. It does not account for your maturity or spiritual growth.
There are many different personality theories that divide the personality traits into four or sixteen different types. The most popular is the Myers-Briggs system and the Kiersey system which is based on it.

These theories have been around since the time of Hippocrates. He defined four personalities based on the fluids in your body (blood, phlegm, black bile and yellow bile (serum)). They became more scientific with the research of Carl Jung who identified eight personality types. Myers and Briggs expanded on this even further when they identified the judging and perceiving types.

Basic Personality Types
this system is based on defining the four extremes.

  • Type-A Personality. This personality shows excessive competitiveness and ambition, driven, an obsession with accomplishing tasks quickly, workaholic, little time for self-reflection, and a strong need to control situations. They tend to have insomnia, indigestion, stress and heart disease.
  • Type-B Personality. This personality is relaxed, uncompetitive, friendly, patient and inclined to self-analysis. They have less stress.
  • Type-C Personality. Reticent, unassertive, nice to a fault.
  • Type-D Personality. Anxious, insecure, gloomy, depressed.
